Zinc Butyl Octyl Primary Alkyl Dithiophosphate (ZDDP)

This Zinc Butyl Octyl Primary Alkyl Dithiophosphate (ZDDP) features favorable anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion performance and extreme pressure anti-wear property. It can effectively protect engine bearings from corrosion, and prevent oil viscosity growth due to oxidation in a high temperature. The product is light in color and nice in oil solubility and   additive compatibility. It can be widely used in various industrial lubricating oils such as gear oil and hydraulic oil. Combined with detergents and dispersants, the product can be used to produce all grades of engine oils.

Zinc Butyl Octyl Primary Alkyl Dithiophosphate (ZDDP) is a type of lubricant additive that is commonly used in motor oils and other lubricants. It is primarily used as an anti-wear and anti-oxidant additive due to its ability to form a protective film on metal surfaces.

ZDDP is composed of zinc and phosphorus compounds that react with metal surfaces under high pressure and temperature conditions. This reaction forms a protective layer on the metal surfaces, preventing direct contact between metal parts and reducing wear.

ZDDP also acts as an anti-oxidant, helping to prevent the formation of harmful oxidation byproducts in the lubricant. This helps to extend the service life of the lubricant and maintain its effectiveness.

In addition to its anti-wear and anti-oxidant properties, ZDDP also provides some anti-corrosion and anti-foaming benefits. This makes it a versatile additive that is commonly used in both gasoline and diesel engine oils, as well as industrial lubricants.
