Product Introduction

As a kind of good friction modifier, the product has excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear performances. It can reduce the friction coefficient between the locomotion parts efficiently. Moreover, the product has excellent anti-oxidation. It can be used in internal-combustion engine oil.

Reference Dosage

As friction modifier, the recommended dosage is 0.5%-2.0%. As anti-oxidant additive, the recommended dosage is 0.5%-1.0%.

Molybdenyl dialkyl dithiophosphate (MoDTP) is a type of organophosphorus compound that contains molybdenum as a central metal atom. It is commonly used as an antiwear and antioxidant additive in lubricants and fuels.

The structure of MoDTP consists of two alkyl groups attached to a central molybdenum atom, along with two dithiophosphate ligands. The alkyl groups can vary in length and structure, and the dithiophosphate ligands typically contain sulfur atoms bonded to the molybdenum atom. This structure gives MoDTP its excellent antiwear and antioxidant properties.

In lubricants, MoDTP forms a protective film on metal surfaces, reducing friction and wear. It also acts as an antioxidant, preventing the degradation of the lubricant due to oxidation. This helps to extend the service life of the lubricant and the components it is protecting.

MoDTP is also used as an antiwear additive in fuels, particularly diesel fuels. It reduces wear in fuel injectors and other fuel system components, improving the overall efficiency and performance of the engine.

Overall, MoDTP is a versatile and effective additive that enhances the performance and longevity of lubricants and fuels. Its ability to reduce friction, wear, and oxidation makes it an important component in many industrial and automotive applications.
